Job description

Key responsibilities: - Lift baggage, boxes, or cargo weighing up to 70 lbs. throughout your shift - May require lifting over 100 items for a single aircraft - Push/pull loaded and empty carts during loading/unloading operations - Ascend/descend jet-way stairs while carrying baggage - Bend/stoop and crawl to move and stack/unstack cargo in aircraft - Drive ground equipment such as tugs to help the plane push in/out of the gate, belt loaders to help load baggage, and bag carts to deliver baggage - Cleaning of the interior of the aircraft, clean and service aircraft lavatories - Read and interpret aircraft load sheets, checked baggage tags, and cargo labels - Prepping and securing the aircraft for the next flight - Use radio electronic devices to communicate with co-workers or flight crew - Ensure compliance with United, TSA, DOT and FAA regulations and policies - Work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions Qualifications and minimum requirements: - Must be at least 18 years old - Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record - Must acquire and maintain credentials vital for the position including fingerprint clearance, local airport b...
