Are you an early-career technician with an interest in construction materials testing and geotechnical fieldwork? We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Technician I in the Fort Myers, FL location to support construction projects through field observation, testing, and documentation. In this role, you will work alongside engineers, geologists, and scientists on a variety of geotechnical and environmental projects across both public and private sectors. Work Schedule: - Full-time position working four (4) 10-hour days per week - Schedule may include early start times and flexibility based on project and field demands Key Responsibilities: - Perform field observation of construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards - Conduct soil testing, including moisture and density testing using a nuclear density gauge - Perform concrete testin g (slump, air content, and unit weight) - Conduct asphalt testing, including temperature and compaction verification - Interpret and utilize civil drawings, project specifications, and geotechnical reports - Accurately complete daily field reports, testing documentation, timesheets, and expense reports - Assist l...
