Salary range: $54,863-$70,000 Posting expires: April 2, 2026 Purpose of Job: The purpose of this job is to ensure that airport operations are carried out safely and efficiently and in accordance with pertinent regulations and policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Oversees and inspects aircraft operating areas at the Airport for compliance with established Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and City policies and regulations and maintains records of inspections as required by the FAA. Inspects runways, taxiways and ramps for proper and safe operations and initiates any necessary corrective actions. Directs response activities for aircraft emergencies, hazmat spills, bomb threats/hijackings, the removal of disabled aircraft and other related emergencies in accordance with the Airport Emergency Plan and FAR Part 139. Coordinates with construction contractors on airfield projects and conducts safety inspections of operations. Monitors construction activity to ensure compliance with Advisory Circulars.
