Job description

Purpose and Scope: On the Kennedy Propellants and Life Support Services (KPLSS II) program on Kennedy Space Center FL, perform as a lead on more complex engineering assignments. Perform a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems and generally as a lead of a design, analysis or review team on more complex engineering assignments. Essential Responsibilities: Perform a range of design development, analysis or review tasks independently. Responsible for complete designs, analyses, or design reviews. Generate complete design specifications for more complex projects. Generate complete pressure vessel/system certifications reports for the most complex projects involving pneumatics and propellant systems. Assess the mechanical integrity of process piping, pressure vessels, and system devices and components; as-built system drawings; data collection; and the development & field checking of drawings for each system, as directed.
