Job description

Position Function: Provides assistance to the Assistant Athletic Director for Academics in order to help facilitate the academic development and progress of student-athletes toward degree completion in assigned sport. This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Academics. This position will provide academic assistance to student-athletes in one or more sports, assist with departmental record keeping activities, provide assistance with departmental liaison activities, and will supervise a minimum of one graduate assistant. Salary Grade : 15: Please see Staff Compensation Structure for salary ranges. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: A. Provides academic assistance to student-athletes: 1. Assists in enrollment procedures 2. Assists with admissions process 3. Provides student counseling, as requested 4. Assists with on-campus recruiting 5. Works with faculty and coaches, as needed, to monitor class attendance, study hall attendance, and reports on student progress, and performs other related tasks. B.
