Litigation & Insurance Counsel

Job description

Overview The Litigation and Insurance Counsel will provide strategic legal guidance and lead complex litigation matters in addition to managing insurance coverage issues, risk management, and related regulatory issues. This role will be responsible for managing all phases of litigation, advising internal stakeholders on coverage positions, and ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. The position will work closely with executive leadership, risk management, finance, operations, and external counsel to protect the company’s interests in contested matters and coverage determinations. The ideal candidate brings at least 10 years of substantive experience in commercial litigation, including declaratory judgment actions, bad faith claims, and regulatory proceedings in addition to making claims with insurance providers and dealing with disputes related to coverage.
