Security Team Specialist I 260003EY Description The Metro Boston Area Department of Mental Health (DMH) is currently hiring for the position of Security Team Specialist I. Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive): - Patrols all buildings, grounds, and adjacent areas of the hospital at regular intervals and guards against trespass, theft, fire, and damage to property. - Maintains order among visitors and staff; maintains motor vehicle traffic controls on hospital grounds including parking, speeding and other traffic conditions and takes necessary measures to prevent unauthorized use of hospital roads and parking facilities. - Performs security duties such as screening visitors, directing traffic, and enforcing parking controls. - Provides personal protection to individuals as required including but not limited to, searching for missing goods and persons, conducting surveillance, and investigating complaints and reports of suspicious activities. - Assists with providing custodial supervision of medically ill and mental health clients, and escorts them to various appointments. - Coordinates the maintenance of hospital firefighting equipmen...
