Job description
This position assists Senior Mechanical Engineers, as well as guide Mechanical Engineers-in-training in the coordination of project execution in accordance with client requirements and objectives, within cost and schedule constraints, and in quality procedures and practices. Mechanical Engineers assist more senior engineers in the preparation of plans, calculations, and reports. Duties and Responsibilities: - Apply principals of Mechanical Engineering to specifications and design of process equipment; - Work independently and with teams to manage small and intermediate size projects in the design of oil and gas processing equipment or heavy oil plant facilities; - Analyze piping and equipment due to force, thermal, vibration, and impact/shock loads using theory, Code defined procedures and finite element analysis; - Apply practical knowledge and develop a broad base of skills, while contributing to the overall success of Propak’s operations through interaction with a cross-functional team; - Review and approve fabrication drawings; - Participate in 3D model reviews and construction planning meetings; - Participate in Piping and Instrumentation Drawing (P&ID) reviews and Hazardous O...
