Classification Title: Custodial Supervisor Job Description: Workflow Coordination and Staff Supervision - Organize, assign, and manage workflow for routine, special cleaning tasks and emergency responses • Check Reitz Union event reports for preparedness with planning and scheduling - Meet daily with supervisors or lead workers across shifts to discuss special needs, tasks, or projects; prioritize and resolve issues promptly - Supervise custodial workers performing tasks, including sweeping, mopping, restocking supplies, trash disposal, and cleaning - Coordinate cleaning of exterior areas including walkways, windows, railings, and entrance areas - Oversee operation of power washer, floor scrubber, carpet shampooer and industrial laundry equipment - Schedule heavy cleaning tasks including stripping, sealing, and waxing of hard surface floors, including moving furniture as needed - Organize special cleaning tasks in facility during academic calendar and holiday breaks - Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations (OSHA and ADA) - Interpret university, Reitz Union, and Newell Hall policies for students, staff, and building users Quality Assurance and Building Inspections:...
