JOB TITLE: Adult OTP/Psychiatric Physician Assistant LOCATION: Wilmington, NC-New Hanover County: REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: · Licensed by the state of North Carolina as a Physician’s Assistant POSITION SUMMARY: Provides behavioral health and substance use treatment to patients within the Coastal Horizons Center clinic, under the direction of a supervising psychiatrist and medical director. Physician’s Assistant provides diagnosis, treatment, medication management, consultation, and follow up behavioral health and substance use care to agency patients. The Physician’s Assistant provides age and specialty appropriate care at the level of training achieved. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: - Responsible for providing psychiatric services to patients in a variety of clinical settings during scheduled hours. - Responsible for treating adults, adolescents, and children experiencing symptoms of behavioral health and substance use disorders. - Provides assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans in accordance with all federal and state statutes, regulations and protocols regulating the profession. - Prescribe, recommend, and/or discontinue medications and treatments to treat men...
