Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for a Relief Fryer/Peeler Operator to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA on our new Weekend Night Shift. As a Relief Fryer/Peeler Operator this candidate will be responsible for removing waste from the conveyor belt that holds peeled potatoes and will also cut oversized potatoes and spots from all potatoes. T his position works Friday to Sunday 5:25PM-5:55AM. Key Responsibilities: - Inspects peeled potatoes and trims defects to control quality of raw potato input to fryer. - Operates potato chip fryer in relief of regular operator, including preparation for start-up and shut down. - Carries out all necessary daily and weekly sanitation procedures for either peeler or frying area - Changes and sets blades. - Performs all necessary duties to prepare peeler/slicer or frying system for production start-up. - Operates peeler/slicer system to maintain sufficient supply of properly peeled and sliced raw potatoes for fryer operation. - Reports all quality or mechanical problems to the supervisor. - Requires working proactively in a cross-functional...
