POSITION SUMMARY: Diagnoses and provides treatment for clients/patients who exhibit communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Education: Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a health care facility. Demonstrated strong clinical background in Pediatric care. - Graduate of an approved Masters level program in Speech Language Pathology. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Free from communication deficits which would interfere with duties. License/Certification/Registration: Pennsylvania license in speech‑language pathology. - Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) preferred. - Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Receives general supervision from the Manager of Rehabilitation Services. SUPERVISION GIVEN: Supervision of students in Speech-Language Pathology is a possibility along with volunteers if appropriate to the setting.
