Job description

The Senior Communications Specialist is an expert in their field of communications, media relations, social media, digital, news and/or staff engagement communications activities. The Senior Specialist will take an active leadership role across Mayo Clinic to understand business objectives, and build communications strategies and plans to support those objectives. This individual will provide strategic communications consultation and guidance to various clients, and will plan, drive, implement, monitor and measure results of communications plans to advance Mayo Clinic’s mission, strategic plan and business objectives. Develops and executes functional and cross-functional plans to advance Mayo Clinic’s strategic plan. Manages complex and cross-functional projects through entire project life cycle to achieve objectives and measure results. Proactively seeks opportunities to build and improve positive relationships with colleagues, leaders, and experts. Serves as a role model for others and represents Mayo Clinic internally and externally.
