Job description

General Assembly and Machine Operator General assembly and machine operators (“GMO”) are expected to operate high speed machine tools for fabricating, assembling and/or or manufacturing automotive or automotive related parts. These jobs include some degree of monitoring the manufacturing / assembly process and recording the results. 1. Specific tasks of GMOs include, but are not limited to the following: 2. Essential physical and cognitive skills necessary for GMOS include, but are not limited to the following: - work with computer-controlled equipment or more mechanically based machines produced required parts; and - check their designated machines and equipment for problems; and - perform maintenance tasks in order to ensure no errors occur with respect to materials produced; and - perform quality checks to ensure parts pass quality checks; and - check and prepare raw materials that a machine needs to work and load these materials appropriately; and - ability to read and decipher blue prints; and - understand and execute safe machine operation and practices. - basic math, reading and analytical skills to understand how blue prints, models and schematics work; and - basic problem...
