Maintenance Technician I (Mechanical) General Statement of Responsibilities: Installs and repairs mechanical systems, apparatus, and mechanical components of industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties: - Maintain and repair plant equipment, machinery, and systems. Service, install, and repair plant plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, machinery, and systems. - Performs millwright, welding, and carpentry work as needed. - Inspect, evaluate, and recommend repairs, or replacement of equipment and machinery as needed. - Observes/Troubleshoots equipment and machinery and dismantles same if necessary to determine the causes of trouble. Repairs or replaces defective parts of equipment and machinery. - Lubricates and cleans parts of equipment and machinery as needed. - Tests equipment and machinery to evaluate repair or need for further repair. - Sets up and operates equipment and machinery such as lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metal working tools that aid in repair. - Support the Plant quality systems goals/improvements & productivity goals/improvements within the scope of the job. - Support the Plant safety programs/goals within the scope of t...
