About the Role: Job Summary The Critical Response RN, under the direct and indirect supervision of the Medical/Surgical Critical Care Nurse Director and the Assistant Nurse Manager of the Critical Response Team, is a highly skilled registered nurse specializing in the care of critically ill patients. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, comprehensive patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team and responding promptly to complex, high-acuity cases. As an active member of the clinical leadership team, the Critical Response RN participates in clinical decision-making and manages deteriorating patients alongside medical teams, responding to all Rapid Response Team calls, including Code Blue, Code Stroke, and other consultations. They provide expert critical care across all areas of the hospital, offer review services, and deliver expert clinical support for patients meeting Proactive Rounding criteria.
