Position Overview: The Davenport Operator is responsible for the efficient setup, operation, and maintenance of multi-spindle turning machines'primarily Davenport machines'to produce precision-engineered components. The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings. The Operator will work under the supervision of the Production Manager and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity. Key Responsibilities: multi-spindle turning machines in accordance with production requirements. tooling and materials prior to production runs. minor maintenance on machinery. including Aluminum, 17-4 Stainless Steel, and exotic alloys such as Inconel 718 and A286. procedures are followed to prevent damage or contamination. and specifications (metric and imperial), with a strong understanding of geometric tolerancing. ensure they meet design and quality specifications. accurate documentation as required. and procedures. area in accordance with 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
