Job Description: The Galveston Bay Refinery (GBR) has an opening for a Refining Chemist located in Texas City, TX. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provides technical support to ensure laboratory complies with ASTM D6299 laboratory quality control requirements such as, but not limited to, monitoring statistical quality control (SQC) charts, investigating out of control situations, development of SQC samples, monitoring inter-laboratory proficiency testing, and training. - Reviews and interprets data and testing records and QA/QC data validation. - Reviews data and instrument logbooks for abnormalities, trends or leading indicators. Promotes and enforces all regulatory and quality assurance compliance programs. - Routinely reviews and updates statistical quality control (SQC) charts, and reviews raw data and instrument logbooks for abnormalities, trends or other leading indicators that could cause a future out of control condition. - Provides technical, testing and equipment trou...
