Job Description The Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences at Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Small Animal Internal Medicine. This position may be hired in a professor of practice or clinical track, depending on the qualifications of the successful candidate, with an anticipated academic rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Our department fosters a collaborative culture with opportunities to work with and learn from specialists in neurology, ECC, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, cardiology, medical, surgical and radiation oncology, dermatology, ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging, anesthesia, and primary care. The duties of the successful applicant include participation in the teaching, service and scholarly missions of the college. The primary job responsibility will be to provide service and instruction within the veterinary teaching hospital. The successful candidate will provide and supervise clinical care delivered by students, interns, and residents assigned to the internal medicine service as well as consultation to clients and referring veterinarians.
