Job description

Redwood Credit Union is seeking a Purchasing Agent who will plan, organize and direct the centralized purchasing activities of Redwood Credit Union. This position assists in establishing policies and procedures for the procurement of supplies, materials, equipment, and professional services. Manage the day-to-day operations of central purchasing, using an automated purchasing system, while performing purchasing services in specialized commodity areas, and assisting in the planning and organizing of purchasing activities. Key Responsibilities: Program Management: o Recommend, establish and direct programs, policies, and procedures for the procurement of supplies, materials, equipment, and minor construction and professional services. o Analyze performance and workload data to develop and implement procedural changes, new methods, or automated systems as appropriate, to increase efficiency and cost-effectiveness of purchasing services. o Monitor the delegated purchasing authority granted to department representatives. o Confer with RCU department heads to determine purchasing needs and legal requirements and advise of current technologies and procurement methodologies. o Investigate...
