Department: Nursing Administration The Director, Clinical Operations (DCO) reports to the Chief Nursing Officer. The DCO works as a member of a self-directed leadership team, which is committed to a common purpose and goals that align with the Hospital Strategic Plan, Pillars of Excellence and STAR Values. The DCO is responsible for forecasting, planning, and managing resource requirements, and collaborates with all department directors to ensure resources are allocated/used in a manner that optimizes the hospital’s performance according to the strategic plan. The DCO may also have collateral responsibility for patient care services and for the hospital’s short-term and /or long-term projects/programs. The DCO contributes to positive outcomes and to meeting the cultural expectations of the organization by exhibiting professional behavior.
