Position Summary/Purpose: Position Summary/Purpose: Grand Canyon University (GCU) maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations identified by the IRS as 501(c)(3) by virtue of their charitable programs. The collective mission of 501(c)(3) organizations in the Phoenix Valley is to improve the quality of life for community residents or to solve particular problems related to those residents’ needs. GCU maintains a partnership with The Neighborhood Christian Clinic located at 1929 W. Filmore, Building C, Phoenix, AZ, 85009. The Clinic provides medical and dental healthcare to the uninsured, underserved community. The CSLP student worker’s work schedule is dependent on the hours of operations and needs of the Clinic; however, CSLP student workers may not work more than 20 hours per week during the academic year (i.e., fall/spring). CSLP: This position has been reviewed and approved as Community Service as defined by 34 CFR 675.2(b).
