Clinical Laboratory Assistant - Senior

Job description

Under limited supervision, responsible for receiving clinical specimens, checking the requisitions and specimens for accuracy, accessioning the specimens, entering the orders into our laboratory information system, distributing worksheets to the medical technologists, and ensuring results are successfully reported to clients as part of our clinical services. EDUCATION: EXPERIENCE: - Assist with the day-to-day processes in a clinical lab setting. - Assist in gathering all documentation, including care plans and consent forms for all patients. - Maintain accurate inventory records for all specimen. Assist with inventory database maintenance and tracking for all specimen including billing, tracking payments and collection from patients. - Oversee logistics of specimen shipments, both incoming and outgoing. - Receive and accession specimens into the laboratory information system (LIS). - Manage laboratory billing processes and order necessary office supplies with oversight by the practice supervisor. - Ensure timely communication of laboratory results including semen analysis to referring physicians. - Perform data entry and facilitate Quality Management meetings and outcome tracking....
