Job description

Manage, direct, coordinate and supervise the permit and inspection activities of the residency office's Land Development Section. Perform necessary plan review for proposed permit projects. Meet with government officials and staff, developers, consulting engineers and VDOT District and Central Office staff to discuss engineering soundness, design and impact of land development activities on the transportation network maintained by VDOT. Provide technical support to assigned engineering program area through coordinating and supervising activities of subordinate staff. How you will contribute: - Compliance: Ensure compliance with all Construction Directives (CDs), environmental safety, EO, Materials, acceptance testing and quality directive. Ensure assigned project is compliant with VDOT, District, and regional environmental and safety goals. Ensure environmental discrepancies and safety violations are corrected.
