Job description

The Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic testing and assists with interventional procedures, according to established departmental procedures, ensuring the delivery of quality patient care. Diagnostic testing includes X-ray, and interventional procedures. This position supports diagnostic and interventional procedures in Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Labs. This position may support coronary and peripheral interventions, closure device implants, electrophysiology studies, ablations and device implants. The Technologist performs diagnostic testing as directed by the physician at a competent technical level not requiring constant supervision. This position operates diagnostic equipment, including peripheral equipment, in a safe and efficient manner to obtain optimal test results. The Technologist manages the patient during the diagnostic procedure to meet quality patient care standards. This position ensures supplies are maintained and reports problems with equipment to the appropriate staff member.
