Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Evening Shift Description: Position Purpose: In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Paramedic will provide patient care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. Functions within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the Organization. This Paramedic position will be working in our Trauma II Emergency Department at Mount Carmel East on mid-shift three 12-hour shifts per week from 10am - 10:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays. What You Will Do: Initiates respiratory interventions including oxygen therapy and assistance with preparation for intubation per physician order or protocol Initiates and discontinues intravenous lines and intraosseous (IO) access as requested by the physician, including use of the ultrasound machine Interprets cardiac rhythms and initiates appropriate treatment (CPR/defibrillation) Transports and monitors stable telemetry and non-telemetry patients Maintains professional radio communication with incoming EMS units Performs patient care activities as appropriately delegated by the RN in a timely manner Performs treatments and pro...
