Job description
As a key member of Sacred Heart School’s leadership team, the Assistant Principal supports the Principal in the day-to-day operations of the school, helping to ensure that instruction and student behavior are consistent with the mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives of the school. The Assistant Principal plays a vital role in instructional leadership, student discipline, and faith formation. Essential Functions: Instructional Leadership: - Support curriculum development and alignment with diocesan standards and Catholic educational philosophy. - Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers. - Assist in coordinating professional development opportunities for faculty. - Analyze student assessment data to help inform instructional decisions. Faith and Catholic Identity: - Foster a school culture rooted in Gospel values and Catholic tradition. - Assist in planning liturgical celebrations, prayer services, and school Masses. - Support the integration of faith across all subject areas. - Collaborate with the parish and pastor to strengthen the school–parish relationship.
