CASEWORKER 2 (Bilingual) (Crisis)

Job description

This is a merit hire position. The hourly rate for this position is $20.20 per hour. This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement. Dauphin County Department of Mental Health, Autism, and Developmental Programs is currently accepting applications for the full-time, first shift (9AM- 5PM) Bilingual Caseworker 2 position. Existing Crisis Intervention Program Caseworker employees can apply based on their current status. The Caseworker 2 provides immediate response to a wide variety of life crisis situations for individuals in Dauphin County within a 24-hour emergency Crisis Intervention program. The Caseworker 2 employs casework skills to obtain essential information, provides counseling for consumers and members of their families, and helps them to utilize all available resources. Work also involves the application of problem-solving techniques, providing counseling to maximize service delivery and to achieve service plan goals, monitoring consumer behavior, and interacting with agencies which make up the local service network.
