Located at Miami Valley Hospital (Dayton, OH) Full-time Day Shift (7:00 AM-3:30 PM) Except/Salaried Position Summary: The Specimen Processor Team Leader utilizes processes in place to receive, distribute, track and prepare specimens for transport to MVH departments and ancillary facilities. He/she will be responsible for the day to day supervision of staff, effective planning, organization and supervision of multiple areas within the Specimen Processing department including all work processes and employees in order to meet customer and business objectives. Responsibilities: Qualifications: - Provide direct supervision and mentoring to processing and technical aide staff, supporting company vision, mission, business objectives and customer service standards. - Train employees in specimen receipt, processing and tracking procedures; promote positive communication with internal and external customers. - Create and distribute department schedules to meet client needs. - Monitor and document employee performance; complete probationary appraisals; set meaningful goals; administer fair and unbiased corrective action. - Perform Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement activities, apply...
