HMDA Review Assistant

Job description

The HMDA Review Assistant plays a key role in supporting mortgage compliance operations by reviewing 1–4 family real estate loan files for HMDA accuracy, assisting with regulatory research, and coordinating with processors and loan officers to ensure compliance standards are met. This position also provides administrative and clerical support to the Mortgage Operations team and contributes to the smooth processing of mortgage loans Primary Duties: HMDA Compliance Support - Review mortgage loan files to ensure compliance with HMDA reporting requirements. - Complete monthly HMDA data scrubs and respond to audit and compliance requests in a timely manner. - Assist in preparing accurate HMDA Loan Application Register (LAR) submissions for regulatory agencies. - Stay informed of HMDA regulation updates by coordinating with compliance and audit teams. - Support training efforts by helping educate processors and officers on HMDA-related issues and resolutions.
