Salary Range: $17.68/hour - $22.41/hour Salary Grade: 5 FLSA: Nonexempt Purpose of Classification: The purpose of this classification is to process incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and other correspondence and to deliver mail to County offices. Essential Functions: The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned. Processes incoming mail; stamps date and time of receipt into mailroom; sorts mail for distribution; delivers interoffice mail to County departments; and transports mail to satellite facilities. Processes outgoing mail for delivery to post office; sorts mail by type and/or destination; weighs mail to determine correct postage; seals envelopes; and utilizes postage machine and postage meter.
