About the Position We’re looking for an experienced Senior Data Center Engineer to design, build, scale, and perform daily upkeep in our regional data center. This is a hands-on position that will require a strong communicator with excellent people skills who can manage projects and take ownership. You will join an interdisciplinary team made up of several groups across Jane Street, including our Network, Server, Facilities Engineering, Research, and Trading teams, along with some external data center operators, third-party contractors, and cabling, hardware, and telco vendors. You will collaborate with these stakeholders to: You’ll join our Data Center team in Chicago, liaising daily with our New York counterparts. You’ll maintain strategic oversight of power, cooling, network, and compute infrastructure, and lead all incident investigations and projects.
