Description TENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITION – Chemistry THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AND BIOCHEMISTRY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND, BALTIMORE COUNTY (UMBC) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Applicants are expected to establish a vigorous and externally funded research program in the broadly defined area of toxicological chemistry ( e.g., cancer toxicology, forensic toxicology, pharmacology, metabolite identification and degradation, toxicologically-relevant organic synthesis/mechanisms, etc. ) Candidates should have an outstanding record of scientific achievement, demonstrated by publications in peer-reviewed journals. The successful applicant should have a PhD and postdoctoral research experience and will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate (PhD and MS) levels with particular interests in toxicological chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, nursing chemistry and/or analytical chemistry and should demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to diversity.
