Registered Nurse (Night Shift)

Job description

Description We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) that will provide care for patients as they progress through the medical detoxification process. The RN will collaborate with physicians, counselors, behavioral health technicians, other RN's, and other health care professionals to plan and deliver care using a multidisciplinary patient-centered approach. Shift: Nights: Duties/Responsibilities: - Assess and monitor patients’ physical and psychological signs and symptoms of withdrawal from mood-altering chemicals. - Administer medications as prescribed with the goal of ensuring that the patient detoxifies safely. - Obtains and documents nursing history from patients and/or significant others that is comprehensive of present condition and prior problems. - Performs basic assessment of patients, indicating adequate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Records vital signs, notes changes, and pursues more-specific investigations as needed.
