Job description

Basic Purpose Facilitates emergency preparedness throughout the Company’s service territory. Ensures respond to, recover from, and resume business operations after a natural or human caused disasters or emergencies. Ensures company is an integral participant in external emergency response and recovery planning activities, and ensures lines of communication and coordination are established with local/state governments, interdependent utilities, public safety, and other agencies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensures the development and maintenance and exercising of company readiness plans, procedures, systems, and communication capabilities to ensure corporate response to and recovery from emergency events. Ensures the readiness of the company's primary and alternate Emergency Operations Centers (EOC) to respond to major emergencies through the training of EOC members, conducting drills and exercises, and maintaining the EOC manual and facilities.
