POSITION SUMMARY: Pay range: $47.44/hr - $69.73/hr: Hours for this role are as follows: Wed. & Thurs. 19:00 - 07:30 hrs. The CT Technologist works under the direction of a board-certified radiologist and is directly responsible or the optimal completion of all procedures utilizing a computed tomography (CT) scanner. May be assigned to a variety of hospital or clinic locations depending on the needs of the department. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Performed majority of the time -- please start with the responsibilities that are the most time consuming: · Operates equipment producing ionizing radiation under direct supervision of a physician. · Performs quality control functions in CT in association with department quality control program. · Assists physicians as necessary. · Assists in providing care for moderate sedation patients. · Provides care appropriate to the age of patients served pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients based on principles of growth and development and life stages. · Maintains a log of all patients, procedures, complications and path file. · Maintains appropriate supply levels. · Transports patients as necessary. · Assists in patient scheduling.
