Description American University’s School of Public Affairs is currently seeking qualified individuals residing in Maryland, Virginia, or DC to teach and enrich its course offerings in its undergraduate and Masters programs. We are seeking adjunct faculty to teach a wide array of courses including but not limited to the following: Justice and Public Policy, The Prison Community, Politics in the United States, Comparative Politics, American Political Parties, Applied Politics and American Public Policy, Applied Microeconomics for the Public Sector (beginning and intermediate), Applied Public Policy Analysis, Statistics, Public Administration, and Public Policy Process and Politics. Qualifications: The ideal candidate holds a doctoral degree and/or has extensive professional experience in the relevant area of expertise. A Master’s degree and extensive relevant professional experience may also be acceptable. Prior teaching experience is preferred though not required. Course assignments will be contingent on student demand and course schedules. If hired, adjunct faculty are limited to teaching no more than two courses per semester, up to a maximum of four courses per year. Application I...
