Assists the practitioner and registered nurse in rendering professional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures within the center, in accordance with established procedures. Works under the direct supervision of the registered nurse. Functions cooperatively with practitioners and staff exhibiting teamwork characteristics. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure all tasks for next day/s surgeries are completed timely to prevent shipping charges and delays in care. Schedule breaks for all scrub techs based on the cases for the day. Ensure all compliance guidelines are following to the highest standard. Works closely with team members to ensure patient safety and physician satisfaction. Update all preference cards and ensures they are kept up to date with MD changes as they occur.
