Job description
The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting accounting operations and financial reporting for assigned markets and corporate cost centers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across payroll, commissions, billings, cash activity, and month-end close. This role will be in office for 6 months and then move to a a hybrid schedule. Essential Duties: Technical & Accounting Responsibilities: - Execute day-to-day accounting activities across markets and corporate functions, including billing, cash activity, payroll, allocations, and month-end close support. - Review, update, and maintain allocations, including posting entries and calculating retroactive adjustments. - Coordinate and post cost center and HQ allocations across corporate departments. - When applicable, coordinate and record earnest money deposit entries for pursuits. - Prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals, prepaids, and other assigned accounts. - When applicable, perform bank reconciliations for accounts within scope. - When applicable, review expenditures for appropriate fixed asset classification and prepare depreciation and intangible amortization entries. - Review and po...
