Description We are a growing CPA firm seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our client accounting and tax services practice. This role is ideal for someone with strong bookkeeping and payroll experience who enjoys working with multiple clients and collaborating with a professional accounting team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for bookkeeping, payroll processing, accounting systems setup and support, client communication, and assisting with tax compliance services for small to mid-sized businesses and individuals. Responsibilities: Client Bookkeeping & Accounting - Maintain accurate books for multiple clients, including general ledger maintenance, bank and credit card reconciliations, and journal entries - Prepare and assist in reviewing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements - Review client records for accuracy, compliance, and consistency - Prepare and assist in reviewing month-end and year-end close processes - Payroll & Payroll Tax Services - Prepare and assist in reviewing the filing of payroll tax reports (Forms 941, 940, state filings, W-2s, and 1099s) - Monitor payroll tax notices and assist with agency correspondence -...
