Job description
The HVAC Pipefitter Journeyman is responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing piping systems associated with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This role requires advanced knowledge of piping layouts, blueprint reading, and mechanical systems, ensuring all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and project specifications Qualifications: - Interpret blueprints, schematics, and piping diagrams to determine layout and installation procedures. - Cut, thread, groove, weld, and braze pipes using hand and power tools. - Install and connect piping systems to HVAC equipment such as chillers, boilers, heat exchangers, cooling towers, and pumps. - Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges and other diagnostic tools. - Collaborate with other trades (e.g., electricians, sheet metal workers) to ensure coordinated installation. - Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. - Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA regulations at all times. - Troubleshoot and repair piping systems as needed. - Mentor apprentices and assist in training less experienced workers. - Valid Local 533 Journeyman Pipefitter li...
