Department/Unit: Psychiatry Social Work Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $50,639.00 - $75,959.00 The Recreation Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, documentation, and reporting of all patients assigned. The Recreation Therapist develops and administers therapeutic groups that enhance the patients' physical, cognitive, social, psychological and emotional well being. The Recreation Therapist II acts as an advanced clinician for the department. Provides recreation therapy services to mental health clients. Performs additional assignments for the department. Requires Bachelors degree in Therapeutic Recreation and Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist certification. Job Description: Administers patient evaluation and treatment employing recreation therapy procedures and interventions. Develops and administers therapeutic groups to serve the patient population. Develops and implements treatment plan in collaboration with treatment team and patient. Schedules patients, maintains written and verbal communication regarding patient and departmental concerns.
