Social Worker - Safeguarding Permanent: Grade C- £35,412 - £44,075: Golden Hello payment - £1,000 and £5,000 per annum; see below for further details and conditions. Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 36.5 hours per week: About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated Social Worker to join our city-wide Adults Safeguarding Team at Birmingham City Council. This role focuses on meeting the Local Authority’s statutory responsibility to provide a person centred approach to protecting vulnerable citizens. Key Responsibilities: - To meet Adult Social Care’s statutory responsibilities as detailed in Section 42 of the Care Act . - To respond to Safeguarding Concerns, conduct Safeguarding Enquiries and formulate Safeguarding Plans as required. - To work closely with citizens, carers, colleagues and partner agencies in line with the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal. - Ensure compliance with legal requirements, policies, and safeguarding procedures. - Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continual service improvement.
