Material Handler Department: Distribution Center Operations: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Dallas, TX: Reporting To: Colton Cathey: Description: The Material Handler stores, ships, receives, and replenishes finished goods to fire sprinkler contractors by parcel, LTL, truckload, and/or private carrier How You Will Help: - Responsible for all tasks associated with the shipping and receiving functions at a distribution center - Scan barcodes, using a handheld scanner, to deliver materials to the target location within the warehouse - Operate a forklift, lift truck, side loaders, pallet trucks, picker and other loading/stacking equipment - Complete and maintains daily forklift inspections reports - Assist Will-Call customers in a courteous and helpful manner - Report any deficiencies in inventory, equipment, safety issues, or concerns to the Warehouse or Operations Supervisor - Report backorders to the Customer Service Department - Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
