Overview Kimley-Horn's Oakland office is seeking a Environmental Planner with 2+ years of experience to join their Environmental Planning team! This is not a remote position. Responsibilities: - Prepare Environmental Quality Act documents, environmental impact reports, and negative and mitigated negative declarations - Assist in Specific Plans, Master Plans, and other environmental or planning policy documents in support of a full range of infill and/or land development related projects - Perform a variety of tasks, supporting various project managers and collaborating with team members. - Will likely gain expertise in: Sustainability, climate action planning, ENVISION, LEED, and Salmon-Safe - Environmental clearance associated with local comprehensive plans/local land use planning - Working with infrastructure projects from across industries such as transportation, transit, land planning, aviation Qualifications: - Degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Environmental Planning (or other degree applicable to the planning field) - 2+ years of experience conducting environmental studies for local agencies and private entities - American Institute of Certified Planner (AICP) Certification Pr...
