Job Summary: The Cook 2 will be responsible to accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods: to include breakfast, lunch, dinner and special/catered events. The Cook 2 is responsible for cooking and preparing food according to recipes and production guidelines while adhering to food safety, food handling and sanitation procedures. Supervision: This position reports to the Lead Sous Chef of unit and indirectly reports to the Executive Chef for their area of campus. Qualifications: Previous experience as a chef, cook or similar position in a college/university dining hall, a restaurant or other relevant establishment and working knowledge of food preparation procedures and equipment is required. Willingness to adhere to food preparation and service standards as set by Ithaca College Dining Services staff is required. Ability to read and follow written and electronic recipes while unsupervised is required.
