Job type: Per Diem Shift: Nights: Hours: GENERAL DUTIES: The Clinical Nurse assumes principal responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation of each assigned patient. The staff nurse initiates teaching and educates the patient and family/or significant other to attain optimal health. Access to all Patient Health Information for treatment purposes only. Required: PCU Night RN experience required - Ability to care for patients on telemetry monitoring including strip interpretation - Knowledge and ability to care for neurologically compromised patients; ability to care for pre and post -op orthopedic patients - Knowledge and ability to care for combative or psychologically impaired patients - Specialty units: ICU; NICU; ER; Labor and Delivery; Peds – additional competencies will be required and orientation will be tailored to the specific units.
