Billing Specialist

The Opportunity: As our team at SME continues to grow, we are looking to add an additional Billing Specialist to the team. In this role, you will be an integral part of our project team by providing billing preparation services on client invoices and working within our Accounting Services group in our Plymouth, Michigan headquarters office. The ideal candidate will be a smart, motivated, highly organized, and hardworking professional able to work under tight deadlines in the fast-paced Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry. Responsibilities: Requirements: - Perform a variety of routine and non-routine moderately complex billing functions. Prepare timely and accurate billing for designated projects in accordance with contractual agreements and within defined billing cycles or client deadlines, ensuring that all billing is internally approved and sent to clients on schedule, attaching all necessary backup. - Prepare and submit final invoice packages, including cover pages, applications for payment, lien waivers, and other applicable backup.
