Mobile Health Program Motor Vehicle Operator Per Diem P osition Summary: At Stony Brook Medicine, a Motor Vehicle Operators regularly drive any of a variety of motor vehicles including automobiles, buses, trucks, and ambulances in order to transport people, material, and equipment as required. Duties of a Motor Vehicle Operator may include the following but are not limited to: Drives a variety of motor vehicles both on and off State property in order to transport people, material, and equipment as required and plow snow from roadways and parking lots. Tends to the routine maintenance of vehicles operated in order to insure that cargo is moved as required. May operate and maintain motorized equipment in support of maintenance, grounds or building trades crews. Posts manifests and other records of goods and people transported in order to document their safe delivery. Other duties associated with this title. Required Qualifications : Candidates must possess a New York State driver license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.
