(IBJI), Chicagolands premier orthopaedic medical practice with several Chicago and NW suburban locations has an opening for an Infusion (IV Therapy) Registered Nurse. Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the physician, the Infusion (IV Therapy) Registered Nurse role is responsible for safely performing a range of clinical duties and provides support to the physician in the practice. This role will specifically provide direct patient care to the patients of the Infusion Center (IV) Therapy Department and ensure overall safety, quality of care and the customer service experience provided to patients and physicians. This role will focus on the following infusion (IV therapy) related responsibilities: - reconstitution of medications - peripheral venipuncture - phlebotomy - assessment & monitoring of patients vitals signs during infusion therapy - recognizing and responding to emergencies & medication reactions - scheduling of patients - education the patients regarding IV therapy General Responsibilities: Participates and assists the physician in the provision of medical care, including: - Taking the patient’s history - Assessin...
